Asphalt Paving Foreman

Job Description:
Geske paving is currently hiring for an Asphalt Foreman. This position would lead a paving crew in it's daily operations to ensure safety, quality and efficiency on the job site.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Emphasize job site safety
• Supervision of paving crew
• Communication with asphalt plant
• Daily layout and planning
• Inspect work in progress to ensure work conforms to specs.
• Ensure work progresses at a pace that maintains schedule
• Maintain and report employee time cards.
• Accumulate. and accurately enter time and quantities on a daily basis
• Accumulate and submit all daily trucking logs
• Interact with on-site engineer to ensure contract accuracy
• Address and resolve complaints by field personnel
• Daily/Weekly safety meetings

Job Requirements:

• Must possess organizational and time management skills
• Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to recognize discrepancies
• Ability to maintain flexible work hours
• Familiar with DOT standards
